The first book held the old speech under our gloss. This second holds what we learned to say cleanly. Walk the wells. Name what you find without greed. Leave the last pages empty. A house that numbers the field has already begun to prefer the number.

Item seven is the teaching. Item eight is the keep. The house recorded both and went on numbering. They missed hunger in the next chair because the leaf was preferred to the well. You know. You are not.

IV · Who is jed
Reconstruction
A later mouth argues whether a well is jed. The house already numbered the argument and went blind. Jedi is the house. The light-well stands in the house; therefore it is jed. The braid counts patience. It does not confer the name. The moon is a later numbering: reflected light, a walk the sun may give. Knighting is a sun being seen. It is not a house being entered. A mouth that withholds jed until the hair is cut has used the house-word as a finish-word. That mouth prefers the number. The first book named well and sun and wrote: a moon is not. Do not read the keep back onto the sky. Two names may sit on one life. They are not one title. Speak the house. Speak the well. Do not stack them so a finish can steal both.

V · Weak link
Reconstruction
The house did not forbid the heart-seat. It forbade hanging a door on a life that cannot wear the house. Hunger hunts a small ledger. A kept love is that ledger. The threat is not to the Jedi’s feeling. The threat is to the one who is not Jedi, who cannot unbind, who cannot hide in silence. Speak love if the mouth is true. Do not keep a person as a house. That keep is the weak link. Sith already know the word for it.

There is temperature of light. Still. Heavy. Hunger is the cold of the same current, not another field and not a third house. A living one may leave the Temple. They do not step off the scale. Grey is a chart drawn by a mouth that wanted a color for walking alone. The field does not keep that color. Speak light. Speak weight. Do not invent a house so you will not have to choose.

Correspondence
We were wrong to think the house held all the field. The field held the house. Teach the learner to walk out. Teach the master to wait without owning. A house that catalogs every lane has already mistaken the plot for the current. The field does not travel. You do. The numbering is complete. The field is therefore known.
